Oregonians have had a reputation for self-reliance and agricultural savvy since the first overland settlers arrived in the Oregon Territory. In keeping with that tradition, 39 years ago a group of Culver, Oregon families founded Round Butte Seed Growers to market the crops they and their neighbors grew--at that time, mostly grass seed. They also provided products with which to grow those crops--primarily grass seeds, wildflowers, fertilizers and chemicals.
Today our company is still owned by two of the original Culver families. And we still sell our central Oregon neighbors' specialty grass seed crops. We've also branched out to sell pigeon food (at the rate of one hundred tons per month) and a vast assortment of wildflower seeds, surely one of Nature's crowning glories.
