GCEA-Cuyahoga Leaf Humus is a not-for-profit organization. The program is supported by tip fees from municipalites that dump their yard waste at a compost facility operated by GCEA and Board members, and sales of the finished product. We distribute brochures on municipal composting, back yard composting, and vermicomposting. We are presently establishing a permanent compost facility where we will have a community garden on the compost facility. The purpose of the garden is to test our soil. Testing ones soil and how vegetables and flower perform in soil is one of the best ways to inform the public about organic soil
